About PhotoMarathon 2025

An ambitious community that supports creators

Since its inception in Singapore in 2003, the Canon PhotoMarathon has evolved into a marquee event for photo enthusiasts across Asia.


Whether you have captured terabytes of images or are beginning your journey in content creation, everyone starts on equal footing as the competition themes will only be revealed on the day of the event​.​

Open Category

Open to all participants above the age of 12.

Student Category

Open to participants studying in an MOE-certified school as of 28 Sept 2024.

All winners in the Student Category will need to provide proof of student status. Students may choose to register for the Open Category if they wish.

You can register for Canon PhotoMarathon 2024 via this link.

As long as you’re passionate about photography and you own a camera, you can participate in this year’s Canon PhotoMarathon. It doesn’t matter which camera you use. However, all participants below 18 years of age must present an indemnity form signed by a parent and/or guardian.

You’ll get a limited-edition Canon PhotoMarathon event swag, to be collected on 10 July 2025.

Participants are not allowed to use phone cameras at Canon PhotoMarathon 2025.

No refunds will be given for non-participation. 

Participants are welcome to submit entries for as many themes as they wish. Winners will be judged, and prizes awarded based on each individual theme.
